So it's late again...
I am glad the quarter is over. I am taking only three classes next quarter; I want to spend time doing other things. Zhenya called this morning; I am embarassingly rusty on my Russian and need to spend time studying the language. I have read at least ten books since the quarter ended two weeks ago; I am starved for reading and only have ten more days to read. I spent so little time with God last quarter that I...don't know how I made it. I was so near breaking down or something. Exhausted beyond belief, spiritually dry beyond recognition. I just had a lovely time this Christmas evening painting, having communion, and spending time with Him...I need to make time for those times...and having an average of four hours of sleep every day does not help. Thus, three classes. I also am leading worship this Sunday. I haven't done that since September. I even skipped church several times because of upcoming exams...I really value time at church and don't want to have that happen again. Finals week might be an exception...but still. And worst of all, I stopped painting. For two months. It was terrible. So: three classes. I will stick to it and will not be tempted to take four, no matter how much my physics professor pushes me to take his geography class.
College applications are due in about three weeks. I hope to get them in a couple of days before the deadline...I think I'm sending most, if not all of them in the mail instead of online. Online is confusing and I have to send in a ton of extra things because of homeschooling. I cut my list...even more. I sent in an application for UW at the beginning of December; I wanted to be considered for the honors program (priority consideration) but they haven't got all of my application yet (transcripts) according to the site...and I got it postmarked right on the deadline...so we'll see whether I get priority considration or not.
I'm just applying to three other colleges: Reed, Whitman, and Lawrence. I've got most of my major essays done...just one left I think. Then there's financial aid. I'm broaching that topic today...joy for more forms.
La...what else is going on? I had my first white Christmas since I was 1. A true accomplishment. We were unfortunately rainshadowed during the big storms, so while the rest of Washington and Oregon got up to two feet of snow, we got...four inches. Two were left today; it still counts as a white Christmas.
Well...my stomach is asking for food. Again. I ate little besides cookies today; time for some substantial food. Audios! Wait...that's Spanish... Dahsvidania!
